J and I were so excited to get the privilege to host Easter in our new home. We orchestrated a tasty brunch after church as well as a full fledged Easter egg hunt for the kiddos. Everyone was dressed in their best while we celebrating Jesus's resurrection over a homemade brunch of caramelized onion and gorgonzola quiche, bacon and cheddar quiche, pear and apple salad, cheesy hash browns, fresh fruit, honey ham, strawberry balsamic tart, and lemon tart.
The Easter egg hunt was the icing on the cake for our Easter celebration. I hide 60 eggs in our backyard labeled with Easter egg hunt signs pointing where to find them. Before the hunt had started the older kids were scouting out the backyard for eggs. Luckily, the weather was wonderful and everyone was able to watch and/or participate in the hunt.
I look forward to many more wonderful family-filled Easters.
